6.00 pm Doors open

6.15 pm Welcome to St Bartholomew’s – The Revd. Karen Kousseff

6.20 pm Introduction to the evening – Caroline Scott, Chair of Hyde900, latest events in the Hyde900 year.

6.30 pm Presentation by David Spurling, dig coordinator and Bronwen Stone from Historic England. A summary of finds from the digs of 2021 and 2022, including the latest news on the cache of medieval glass found in King Alfred Terrace and a film of the Community Dig 2022 followed by a Q and A with David and Bronwen.

7.00 pm Interval

7.15 pm Presentation by the Revd. Karen Kousseff on the ‘Giving for Living’ appeal – an update and a wish list.

7.25 pm Professor Chris Mulvey a talk entitled King Alfreds Astounding Inventions, followed by a short Q&A.

8.00 pm Cheese and Wine. Publications and finds will be on sale and, for those who wish to stay and chat, dig supervisors and Dr John Crook will be available for Q&A.
