Hyde900 is supporting a project to improve the Nun’s Stream where it runs alongside Saxon Road and the Abbey ruins, from Monk’s Road to King Alfred Terrace. The plan is to make the stream a more interesting and attractive feature of daily life in Hyde, and to provide a better habitat for chalk-stream wildlife. The work would be planned and carried out professionally, with help from local volunteers. Please have a look at the plans and let us know what you think. The project is a partnership between the Environment Agency, Winchester City Council and Hyde900, and is being co-ordinated by Lawrence Talks. The documents for download are a supporting document that describes the project, and two large-scale plans showing how the stream would be altered.
