Michaelmas Concerts at St Bartholomew

Cantores EpiscopiHyde900 has great pleasure in presenting a fourth annual series of Autumn concerts in memory of the musical traditions of Hyde Abbey, final burial place of King Alfred the Great. The concerts will be held in St Bartholomew’s Church, King Alfred Place, Hyde.

Doors open 7.00pm: Performances commence at 7.30pm, except where otherwise advertised.

Sat 14 September – Sarah Viersen-Corser (soprano), Emma Alexandra (clarinet), Sally O’Shaughnessy (flute) and Mark Gillman (organ), with the Hyde900 Ad Hoc Choir

Sat 21 September – Cantores Episcopi (Winchester College boys’ a capella group)

Sat 12 October – Index Cantorum

Sat 19 October – VIDA Guitar Quartet

Sat 26 October – University of Winchester

Fri 8 November – Sensorium (Colin Tully, of ‘Gregory’s Girl’ theme tune fame, and his Celtic jazz group)

Tickets for all concerts are £7.00, Hyde900 members £6.00, under-12’s free (except where otherwise advertised).
