University of Winchester Foundation Music – ‘Walking in the Footsteps of the Past’University of Winchester Foundation MusicWalking In The Footsteps Of The PastAs part of the annual King Alfred Weekend events, the King Alfred Singers (Foundation Music, University of Winchester) will host an evening of music with the theme ‘Walking in the Footsteps of the Past’. Choral groups, soloists and instrumental chamber music groups will also take part to show off the talent of our local University. The evening will conclude with the usual torchlight procession to the burial site of King Alfred the Great, his wife and son in Hyde Abbey Garden where a short vigil service will be held.
